DrumMapMidi serves as a user-friendly tool for creating basic drum patterns and transmitting MIDI information to various General MIDI drum kits within different applications.

The application enhances usability by allocating multiple sounds to specific buttons, which simplifies the process of pattern creation. Below are two illustrative examples:

• Example 1: The straightforward pattern of "Hi-Hat and Bass Drum / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat and Snare / Hi-Hat" can be executed with a single finger in DrumMapMidi. This is achieved by assigning the Hi-Hat and Bass Drum to one button, the Hi-Hat to another, and the Hi-Hat and Snare to a third button.
• Example 2: A more intricate 16th-note pattern, "Hi-Hat and Bass Drum / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat and Snare / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat / Hi-Hat," can be played using two fingers across four buttons. This is facilitated by adding a second Hi-Hat button to the trio referenced in Example 1. As the right hand engages with the buttons corresponding to Example 1, the left hand taps the additional Hi-Hat button in between each right-hand action, enabling an effortless execution of the 16th-note pattern.

DrumMapMidi conveniently loads a single set of audio samples, allowing users to begin playing immediately if time is limited. Nevertheless, the primary purpose remains to facilitate the use of General MIDI drum kits in external applications.
